The food was fresh and served quickly. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Brisket was moist and flavorful. Sliced beef was delicious. They have many different sauces to choose from. The decor is reminiscent of the 1950s set in a cabin.
Barbecue was minced finely rather than pulled. Very easy to eat in a sandwich and tasty. The sauces were good with many varieties to choose from. Steak fries. Very good coleslaw.
We ordered the Pork BBQ Sandwich topped with coleslaw and the 1/2 Chicken Plate with Baked Beans and French Fries. All of it was very good. They have indoor dining, but we chose to eat outside under one of the pavilions by the Tuckaseigee River. It was very nice out there. Oh, I almost forgot. They only accept cash, but there is an ATM machine in the ordering area.
Nice rustic BBQ restaurant. Friendly and helpful crew. Restaurant is clean and sanitized regularly by staff. The BBQ sandwiches are huge and delicious and the cole slaw is so very good. I had the combo and its really enough food for two people. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food is top notch. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. This restaurant is located next to the river and there is plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your meal and take in the scenery. I left full and very satisfied.
Friendly dang service and awesome Dang brisket. A great stop on a day trip around the smokies area. Everyone was friendly and the service was quick and good. Some of the best brisket I’ve had in a very very long time. If I could give it 6 stars I would. The fact that places like this still exist in a world of chain restaurants and fast food makes me happy.
First visit and the gentleman at the register was very helpful with suggestions. The food was ready quickly and had great flavor. 4/5 stars only because there was bbq sauce already on the meat and we would have preferred for it to be plain, especially for the kids. Otherwise the brisket, pulled pork, onion rings, okra, and hush puppies were very good. The dining rooms and bathroom were impeccably clean and the sweet girl cleaning up after everyone was super nice. Will be back again next year after we ride the Polar Express!
We ate here two days in a row!! The brisket platter is incredible. Tender, juicy, and seasoned appropriately. Love all the sauce options. The honey sauce is divine. Absolutely love the mac n cheese, French fries and hush puppies. We ordered one platter each the first day and then ordered ourselves two platters each the next day bc VACATION BABY. I read the reviews, complaints of “rude” staff. Wasn’t my experience!! The staff were kind, one gave my daughter some of their pig decor to play with when she got fussy. We will always come back here for a meal (or two) when we are in town!! Thank you!
Came through on the way back from vacation. Had a nice lunch on the river, had the BBQ sandwich basket and about 5 different sauces they had available. Sandwiches were delicious as well as the fries and onion rings, definitely will be stopping back through on my next vacation this way
